Hello, I'm Anna

I am a Moscow-based food writer & educator, exploring social history and culture through food.

A historian & language teacher by education, I began hosting cooking, culture & language classes back in 2012.

​These led me to write The Soviet Diet Cookbook, based on the ubiquitous Book of Tasty and Healthy Food, and peppered with my grandmother’s stories. I'm currently writing another one covering my family history throughout the 20th century, across 5 generations.
